The 1st Byford Scout Group has been operating on and off for more than 70 years.

Members participate in activities that encourage physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual development.

It is a family organisation that was founded and run with the support of members, their families and the community.

Boys AND girls meet once a week for Joeys, Cubs and Scouts.

They are guided by trained leaders in activities that abide by the principles of scouting.

These principles include considering the needs of others and developing and using abilities for the betterment of themselves, their families and their community.

Fun activities

In weekly sessions, groups play games, cook, have excursions and incursions and learn about life.

Additional activities include overnight camps with other groups, campfires, watersports, barbecues and involvement in important community activities such as Australia Day, Anzac Day, markets, community service and fundraising.
